Gimme My Cookie!!!

Before NOT posting for the next couple days I wanted to throw this onto my blog real quick. This is basically what we have been eating every night.
Nothing like Pillsbury Sugar Cookies - all ready cut!! Except I take a spin on mine [in fact, it's on the box! but I've been doing this for years lol] You take some frosting ya got lying around the house and some sprinkles...
Put em on a cookie, put one on top of it and voila! Christmas cookie sandwhich!
Yum Yum Yum!!! It's so good! :) Definately making some of these for tomorrow's Christmas Eve get together!
Have a Safe and Wonderful Christmas!!

Christmas in New York City!

On Saturday we spent Christmas in the City with our friends Nestor and Wendy and it was great! It was freeeeezzing but it was great! We started off the night at Charito's in Hoboken, the BEST mexican ever!
Than we went to patiently wait for the path train to the city

Finally we made it! And the first thing we saw when we got off the train was the gorgeous Empire State Building!
We walked up and made our way to 42nd Street and Times Square

We stopped off at Toys R Us to get some Candy at Candyland - sooo good :)

Wendy and I were easily distracted by the 4 floor Forever 21
FINALLY we made it to Rockefeller Center [you don't understand. New York City around Christmas is chaos!] In fact - the only spot we could comfortably get was BEHIND the tree!
Even the trees around Rockefeller Center looked gorgeous

Oh and I bundle up HARD in the winter in the city lol hence why i look like a big fat marshmallow!
And Nestor sucks at taking pictures so these are the best ones we got! lol

Can NOT believe Christmas is 2 DAYS AWAY!! Nuuuts! I'm excited :) Can't wait for it to come!

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my awesome cousin/GODSON Julius!! He turns 8 today and I cant wait to hang out with him tonight and talk star wars!! [yup!! thats how you KNOW he's my godson lol]
[and yes this picture was taken in the middle of July at "The North Pole" at a place by us called The Land of Make Believe. You can go see Santa early and tell him what you want! lol]

Swan Queen

On Sunday, 6 of us got together to go and see Black Swan. Yuuup... seriously, a group of us went to see this movie. It really isn't a "group" movie lol in fact - it was sooo all over the place, I don't know exactly how to explain it. All i know is... I LOVED IT!!
It's a drama by far.. but then at some points it makes you think it's trying to be a horror movie.. then it looks like it can go as far as being like Fight Club or something. But I absolutely loved it. I looooove Natalie Portman in anything and in this, she was AMAZING!  She's cute, she's sweet, she's crazy, she's fucked in the head, she's evil, she's it ALL! And she just wants to be perfect! Oh and Mila Kunis? Hawt!
She just reminded me of Angelina Jolie the entire time. Like it was the first time I actually took her seriously as an actor. Dont get me wrong, I looove me some Mila in Forgetting Sarah Marshall [one of my ABSOLUTE favorites] but this is 4 steps up from that Mila! Oh... and there is a SERIOUS sex scene between her and Natalie Portman. Like I was SHOCKED at how far it went lol
Oh and if you look really closely... you'll notice WINONA RYDER!
Seriously! Winona Ryder was in it for maybe... 5 minutes collectively lol but she was awesome! A bad ass old ballerina bitch! I loooved everything about this movie and although everyone I went with didn't feel the same [including Jose!] I recommend you see it and be the judge yourself! Cos it's pretty trippy!

Oooh! Flowers!

I will now attempt to show you the "mock up" of our centerpieces for our wedding. I'm attempting this because asshole me left my DSLR at home and the point and shoot's battery was dead. So these are all cell phone pictures. I know. So gross.
Soo waaaay early in the wedding planning process, Jose & I figured out pretty quickly that we were into submerged flower centerpieces. And when we found our florist who said he could give us exactly what we wanted for an unbelievable price, we booked it. And last week we got to come in and check out how the flowers will look [bouquets and all! but the only pictures I have on my cell phone are the centerpieces. Jose's got the rest]

So the below picture is a picture my mom took with her phone at a wedding she went to in October and I showed my florist and said THIS IS BASICALLY WHAT I WANT... with our wedding colors!
Everything. The candlelight around the vases, the glowing lights IN the vases. And an added effect... a floating candle on TOP of the submerged flowers as well. Yes I picture LOTS of candle light at my wedding. So without the lights - here's what we had
[Oh... it was later filled to the top with water so no panicking cos i didnt lol] Can I tell you how SOUPED how I was?? Jose thought it should be Square Cyllinders instead of round ones and I ended up liking it alot. And they are HUGE! like the big one is 22" tall!
All around the vases will be 4 candles, crystals on the table and rose petals
A close up of the smaller vase which will have no candle.. just LED light. Ooh! and those are the roses that will be in the bridesmaids bouquets
And a closer look at the middle vase with the candle floating on top now
And we didnt put the LED lights in BOTH vases or lit the candles around them... but just seeing this got me SOOOO excited!
I know it'll look waaaay better the day of and waaaay brighter so I wasnt too concerned. The overall image is just what i need :D SOUPED!!

You suuure none of y'all wanna be invited?? It's gonna be dooopppeee!!!

Red Velvet & Gingerbread

Ooof I changed my blog design again! I'm never happy Im warning ya now - It'll probably change again in another 3 months. But I felt like decking it out in my wedding colors [black, white and red] and NOT looking at myself every time I went on to my blog so there ya go!
Last night Jose & I went out with Nestor & Wendy to New York City. To check out the tree, hit up times square, walk around [and have my feet be KILLING me!! why didn't i just wear my uggs!?] but I'll post more about that tomorrow. REAL QUICK I wanted to post on the deliciousness that is Magnolia Bakery.
Jose & I hit up this spot about 3 years ago when we did the Sex and the City tour in the city and since then, have gone back every year! And WHATTA YA KNOW!? Now they have one SMACK in Midtown so when we passed and saw there were NO LINES!! We jumped inside and bought us some cupcakes! Nestor and Wendy did too but OURS were BANGING! Jose got the Red Velvet [of course!] decked out with Rockettes and Nutcrackers on CHOCOLATE!!

And I got the most delicious thing ever... GINGERBREAD CUPCAKES!!
Ayayaya! I'm kinda obsessed with gingerbread so when I saw these I hadda! And they were amazing! I couldn't snap my own pictures cos we ate them too fast! Oh and by the time we were done buying our hot chocolate and cupcakes, there was a line outside again! So we hit up Magnolia just in time!

They have 3 Magnolia Bakery's in New York, 1 in LA and 1 in Dubai [random??] but when you come to New York, HIT UP MAGNOLIA! Make it a point!! It's sooo good!

My [amazing-awesome-fabulous] wedding shoes!!

Whoo!! I have them!! My wedding shoes!! Now first let me explain... it's not up to me to wear flats as my wedding shoes. But Jose is not much taller than me and if I wore heels I'd be seriously towering over him. He doesn't want that and I don't want that - so flats it is! And I looked and looked for months! Than as I posted about it - I found the Steve Madden Kinnetic flats. Love them. Loved them all. But what would go with my wedding?? My black, white and red wedding?? I went, visited them in person and black it was!

I loved them [though they seriously hurt my shoes and it's gonna take a good 2 weeks to break these babies in with sooo many blisters. Ugh I'm dreading it lol. But ANYWAY... the more I wore them and pulled them out, the more I just wasn't satisfied. I even considered buying a totally different pair. Than the sea parted... I forget on which website it parted but it led me to ban.do. Now you need to get your ass over to this website and order their shit cos it's ALL amazing... but these are the beauties that caught my eye.
SHOE CLIPS!! and not just any shoe clips... RED SEQUINED HEART SHOE CLIPS!! I knew it right away and ordered them the minute I saw it. I just KNEW. [and is it fate that the model of shoes these clips were on in the website were the silver steve madden kinnetics??] FINALLY after 5 days [i waited an eternity!!!] they came! I SCREAMED in my car when I saw the little box by our front door and VOILA!

Are my wedding shoes now the shit or what? I feel like I'm in Alice in Wonderland wearing them for some reason lol and I almooooost wanna wear them to my bridal shower and my bachelorette party and the rehearsal dinner lol since people most likely wont even see them under my dress on my wedding day!
Oh and I am totally wearing them AFTER the wedding on every pair of shoes they can go on without looking stupid lol
I guess in a way this makes me an "off-beat" bride not wearing heels, or the "traditional" wedding shoe colors lol but I am fucking SOUPED to wear em!!

Accessorizing my mama's!

Holla!! It's Thursday!! I work tonight and than I'm off tomorrow! I kinda like having fridays off more than Saturdays - its just SO HECTIC by me on Saturdays, it's easier to go out on Fridays! So can not wait for tomorrow!

Sooo my future mother in law has found a dress for our wedding in April. And I could KILL her for the picture she sent me of it lol [she just moved to Puerto Rico in September so until she comes back in March, we are communicating long distance!]
She explained to me its a grey dress [cos its kinda hard to tell] and come right below her knees. It looks cute - I just wish she sent me a picture of her wearing it! lol And than of course I posted how my mother found her dress in September too!
My sister took the picture.. on her cell phone... which is why it's so blurry! God I cant wait to go back in January for her fitting and get a good picture! lol But anyway... with both Jose's and mine's dad's being passed away [ironic huh?] our moms really stepped up and helped us out alot with our wedding. ALOT. So I want to try to thank them [not only on the day of the wedding with gifts] but with accessories too! lol So I was looking at Dessy and found these clutches that I thought were PERFECT! It clearly matches with their dresses perfectly!
And were only 20 bucks each! It was a steal, I had to! [plus I got a free tote bag lmao] I kinda think they should wear the opposite colors but my mom and his mom think the colors should just go with the dress lol FIIIIIINE! But I still love em! :) And am glad it's one less thing they have to worry about

Oh and did I mention my mother wants to buy $135 shoes for my wedding! lmao I'm like "MA! MY shoes didnt even cost that much!" Oooh tomorrow i'll show off my AWESOME wedding shoes :)

Take a Peek into: My Dining Room

On Saturday my sisters came over and my house was spick and span so I took some pictures of the dining room, which is where we mostly hung out! I still need to "arrange" things in the dining room like the shelves on the wall and our little bar so got any ideas, I'm all ears!

Oh and yes the one chair above was chewed up by Lando... he knows NOW to NOT do that again. Little fucker lol

Ooh! And my homemade miniature red velvet cupcakes!

If you were my bridesmaid...

Which bracelet would you wanna be rocking at my wedding?

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.
Did I mention THIS is the dress you'll be rocking WITH the bracelet?

Since the dress is a one shoulder and necklaces look kinda awkward with a one-shoulder - I figure a chunky ass bracelet would be awesome to wear. [and the colors are black, white and red - which is why a couple bracelets have black in them]

Did I mention they are all from Forever 21?? Choose Wisely... and PLEASE help me pick one for them!!
