Streets of Philadelphia!

Since discussing a few months ago about us wanting to leave the nest [also known as New Jersey] and branch outwards - we've really warmed up to Philadelphia. Yes it's only a few hours from where we live but it's a great and nice change. The city is smaller, feels like New York but way less calmer & has such adorable and charming parts. So we decided to pay Philly a visit on our Staycation! And when we were just strolling around the city talking about where to eat and happened to walk on the EXACT street there was a SHAKE SHACK I saw it as a [really stupid] sign that we should be moving here! Besides Shake Shack being there, we really do love Philly and plan on making a few more trips there ... mmmmmaaaybe to speak with realtors and show us around :)

even Shake Shack loves Philly :)

Yo quero shake shack!

Sunday night we ventured into Queens, NYC for a family wedding. We had a pretty good time but were DYING for more food after the wedding so while we drove thru Manhattan to get home we stopped at the only place we know to go to apparently - Shake Shack! I'm gonna have to start a whole label devoted just to Shake Shack cos this summer alone, we've gone like 5 times lol. We are truly addicted. Trust me, we eat other burgers [the shakes we aren't too crazy about] - we just LOVE shake shack. Don't hate.

 my brother-in-law & sister-in-law looking so "dapper"

we used to joke that we'd be sisters - look at us now!

me, jose and his sloppy looking beard

shake shack with NO LINES!! if you ever visit NYC, i highly suggest visiting shake shack at 9:30 PM . any other time of day you'll be waiting 45 minutes for one of these burgers

is it me or does jose and his brother look like twinsies??

 yes we were REAL excited!

me and them beautiful lights

I promise - the next time I go into the city, I'll show you a different burger place other than shake shack. They do exist, they are out there.

Who HAS tried shake shack though?? Is it not so good!?

Back in the new york groove!

As I said friday, I was on a mission to get my ass into New York City for the day and I'm proud to report = mission accomplished! We spent most of the day in the city enjoying shake shack [though we had to wait on line for an hour, its worth it!], shopping, walking on the highline & watching "Rock of Ages." It's not the best movie musical but i LOVED it! Best part? HEY MAN!! Please tell me one of you saw Rock of Ages this weekend and you know what I'm talking about. I literally LOST IT every time Hey Man was on screen :) So here are a few snaps from our day in Manhattan :)

I picked out the pants - Jose did the rest. I was a bright neon explosion walking down the street in my mint jeans, pink flip flops, bright neon cambridge, "mojito madness" nails & "bikini so teeny" toes :)

the empire state building peaking to say "hello!" while we waited for shake shack

it is always worth the wait!

jose is a slushie fanatic and was souped to find a food truck with all natural slushies!

on top of the highline - a MUST see when in new york city

my man looking fly in all black [as usual]

me and my fresh new red hair [again!] :D

hello new jersey! :)

There is always so much to do in New York - I always have a constant list of things I want to see! The Highline was one of them & I'm so glad I got to cross that off my list :) I've got a LOT more fun planned for my summer in New York City & can't wait to share em!

Whats one thing you're dying to do in New York? Whether you live 20 minutes or 20 states away - everyone's got something they wanna see in NYC! What's yours??

There's nothing you can't do in New York!

It is Monday which means... one week until I am at Disney! Holla! Yup, I am souped for this vacation like you don't even know. Why? Cos it's Disney & cos i NEED a vacation! Can not wait.

Friday Jose & I spent our day in the city, leading up to hearing Jasmine Star [genius ass photographer] speak at night. It was a bit chilly but the perfect day in NYC. I love our day trips into Manhattan, I always feel like it brings us closer. So a quick recap in pictures. I'll be back with more about Jasmine Star.
