Goodbye Apartment: Our Living Room

Today I'm showing a mini before and after of our living room. We got our apartment in November of 2008 and had to make a lot of changes and updates right away. 

Here's the window in our living room that looks out into our front yard. No blinds. That needed to be fixed quick.

What a difference almost 3 years and a camera makes. 

Here's the long wall to the right of that window. You can't tell but there was no ceiling in this apartment!! That we didn't fix ourselves, that our landlord did. lol 

Here's the long wall now. It's funny cos we first painted the living room blue and after 6 months I hated it and than painted it a new color that seriously resembles the original color. 

When we saw the apartment, I was in love with the fireplace. It's non working but I was just souped I had a fireplace to decorate for holidays. And NOW you can see our no ceiling! That thing leaning on the fireplace were the broken blinds we had to take off to replace. 

We kept the fireplace white but took those wall shelves off on the left and just made it a look "mail center" nook. I'm really going to miss having our fake fireplace. 

This is the first wall you see when you walk into our apartment. 

A new Yankee Candle is placed on the table every month [this month is Pink Sands. So Good!!], along with our photo booth pictures from the wedding and our wedding guestbook along with other books. 

This is our picture rack placed above our TV. I bought those 2 dog paintings at HomeGoods but everyone that comes thinks I paid someone to paint them of our dogs. lol You got got!!

This is our bookshelf next to the TV. I believe it's coming with us to my moms for some extra storage but instead it's gonna be flipped horizontally. 

This is our little "reading" corner. I LOVE that mirror. And we love that chair.

Our newest additions to the living room I added not too long ago. The rug and the white coffee table, which was such a great punch to the room. And Lando laying down on the rug in the shadows. 

And I recently spoiled our living room table for the first time with flowers! Peonies! I loved them and have decided they will be a constant in our room at my moms. 

I had a little mini photo session with those flowers. Hmm, would you buy THIS print from my shop??

Happy Anniversary to the Man I looooooove! We have technically been together since like 2006 [but sssshhh he broke up with me for 8 months, that bastard! he doesnt like to count the breakup] but OFFICIALLY its been 3 years. 3 ahhhmaaazing years. I loooove him :)

Ooooh yes FIERCE red hair. It was the shit.

What did he get me?? Oooh he SPOILED me! He brought me to Yankee Candle and said GET WHAT YOU WANT! Whooo!!!! :) Of course they had a sale so I decided to stick with the sale :) But he let me get 4 for $40 instead of 2 for $20.

Baby Powder!! GENIUS!! [I need to do a post on my SERIOUS obsession with candles, but MOSTLY Yankee Candle] Soooo for YEARS I've been buying candles [since I was a freshman in high school] from Yankee Candle and I always always ALWAYS said they should put out a smell that smells like fire burning! Cos you KNOW that shit smells AMAZING!! Like Fire on WOOD lol like in a fireplace, not a burning house. But anyway... we went to the store and I am saying this to Jose for the millionth time than I looked down and HOLY SHIT!! THERES A FIRESIDE CANDLE!! I'd DIE right there!! You don't even know!! THEY LISTENED TO ME!! lol So I bought Fireside!!! And I'm going back for a bigger jar. Than I got Vanilla Pumpkin to make the house smell of fall :)

Than the cashier totally got me [for the millionth time, I'm ALWAYS suckered when I got to Yankee Candle] and convinced me to FINALLY buy a lid for my jars! Uhm... I've been burning candles for like 13 years now and I'm NOW understanding the amazingness that is a lid. AMAZING! My jars dont get ugly black rim anymore!

Here it is on my Granny Smith [apple] Yankee Candle jar at home :) And it works and it smells amazing. Ooh and I also got Midnight Jasmine but that is currently upstairs with Jose as he naps for work tonight [boo! Anniversary dinner postponed]

Oh and I bought him BEATLES ROCKBAND!!! [Finally!! WTF is wrong me?? Im hardcore Beatles Fan and just getting this shit NOW??] You know we finished 4 chapters today :)

Anyway, gonna go make myself some dinner :) Ciao!!

A Partylite Party!

On Sunday my mom, my work friend Mary & I attended my other work friend's PARTYLITE party. Partylite is a company [like avon] that sells candles! Verry nice stuff, very expensive! I had to limit myslef couldn't go overboard but I did manage to snag some goodies :)

This one my mom actually bought me and I cant WAIT to get it! Its a candle holder in the shape of a diamond and it looks like an engagement ring! So cute! My mom and I thought it might be cute to sneak it onto our sweetheart table at the wedding :)

Than I bought this candle that seriously smelled like... leather. But niiiiice leather. So nice, I had to have it! In tea lights too!

And lastly this odor neutralizing candle [cos I got TWO dogs so we've always got odor lingering!] and I got it in my favorite scent of all time - sunkissed cotton [or sunwashed linen or clean cotton if I'm buying from Yankee Candle - my FAVORITE!]

YaaY! Can't wait to get my candles! I have soooo many candles in my house it's kind of a joke! lol But WHOO! MORE CANDLES!!
