A blown out birthday!

On my birthday [which was Sunday, thanks for the birthday wishes!] I spent my day in NYC getting my hair did at Drybar. [get it?? blown out birthday?? crack myself up] I've been dying to try this place since I first heard about it a year ago but I got lucky when I found out they opened one like two months ago in New York! It was such a nice salon and a really great experience! I sat there drinking my champagne and watched Father of the Bride 2 [which I never saw and LOVED!] Than Jose and I spent the rest of the afternoon walking around Manhattan, shopping and eating. It was a great, casual birthday and I loved every minute of it.

The best comfort food in Manhattan!

On Tuesday when we were starving we found ourselves on the corner of Prince St & Lafayette in Manhattan. We had 2 options: Soho Park & Delicatessen. Delicatessen is kinda known for being "hipster"y but it was not. And I didn't care about my surroundings, I cared about the food. It delivered. Especially when I flipped open the menu and saw they had a MACBAR!! One thing you for real need to know about me is mac n' cheese is my favorite dish ever... and if it's there, I WILL try it. Anywhere. So naturally I ordered and Jose did too [I got class, he got mayan chipotle] 

This was all mine. The most delicious mac n cheese yet. 

And my second obsession. Truffle fries!!! I had died and gone to heaven and delicatessen. Mac n Cheese AND truffles fries.

HIGHLY recommend it. We were so dehydrated we didn't get any drinks... just lemonade and water. But as I looked around, the drinks looked damn good too.
