Goodbye Apartment: our bathroom

Oops... just realized I never finished this series. And now that we aren't living there... it really makes me miss our apartment so please reminisce with me :) 

The bathroom was our biggest project when we moved in. It was a straight up mess. 

 After LOTS of cleaning and a little redecorating, it looked much better. 

This was the tub when we got the apartment. Are you kidding me?? How did the OLD tenants take showers in this?? 

We never let the tub get like that again... 

And I have a TON of beauty products. This is just some of them. 

Busy, Busy, Busy

I haven't written in my blog in FOR-EVER!!! Every single day there was some event going on so I couldn't! And when I wasn't busy being out, I was busy packing and moving!! We have officially LEFT our apartment! And as sad as I thought it might be... i am so happy it is over and we are finally here at my moms! Our animals transitioned very well [even though the cat was MAJORLY stressed for a couple days] and now our apartment is a memory. We still have a TON of unpacking to do but I'm just glad we are moved. 

Jose's mom helped us out sooo much the past two weeks. Oh and she LOVES her grandsons.

It was such a mess for a long time and now it's done! Yay! So back to posting regularly ;)

Where the goodies go

I can't say for sure what my jewelry storage is going to look like when I go to my moms [and when we get our house, etc] so I took a picture of what it was like in our apartment. My mind is constantly changing but many of these pieces are sticking around.

My perfume sits here. It's a storage thing I got from Pottery barn Teen. This is the one I'm kinda sick of. And at the top of the caddy is random fake flowers I have.

My sunglasses. This thing isn't working either cos I have WAY more pairs than this. So I'm gonna need something else. Sunglasses are a must for me because my eyes are very sensitive but I just can NOT find a "cute" way to organize them. Any ideas?? 

This frame was actually hot pink and given to me at my bridal shower. I spray painted in yellow to better go with our bedroom themes. [Our favorite colors to work with are black, white, gray yellow and purple. Strange but true]

My rings in a bowl I got at goodwill [they are actually from Pier1! I got em for 25 cents each!! score!!] Notice my big "bachelorette" bling on top?

I didn't take a picture of it but the little dish my earrings and watch sits on is a dish from West Elm with two French Bulldogs on it. Frenchies look like Boston Terriers to me, Riddle's a boston. Voila!

Lots and lots of bracelets. 

I'm pretty excited to see where my jewelry will go next :) 

Goodbye Apartment: Our Office & Movie Collection

This is the room I by far spend the most time in. Definately not my favorite though lol it's freezing in the winter, boiling hot in the summer and feels so far from the living room. I have big plans for our "office" at my moms :)

And I just want to throw in a little added bonus. This is a really awkward little space upstairs outside of our bedroom. The minute we saw it though, we knew exactly what we were doing with it. 

We moved in in November of 2008 and in January 2009 we bought this huge bookshelf, put it together and voila! A space for our massive movie collection!

We even needed a second one [to the right] and that holds all our TV Show dvds :) We are still undecided whether or not this will be coming to my moms. But I'm pretty sure it wont. 

Goodbye Apartment: Our Dining Room

Our Dining room is my favorite room in the house. It's simple.

We installed a ceiling fan, painted it a dark muted gray, added curtains, furniture, shelving and voila! 

 Notice the cat on the table in the picture below? He can usually be found chilling on the table. 

These shelves hold almost all our dining pieces we got at my bridal shower. 

And our make-shift bar. 

Notice the Avion on the top shelf?? I got it bitch!!! Haven't tried it yet though... waiting for the final return of Entourage!

Goodbye Apartment: Our Living Room

Today I'm showing a mini before and after of our living room. We got our apartment in November of 2008 and had to make a lot of changes and updates right away. 

Here's the window in our living room that looks out into our front yard. No blinds. That needed to be fixed quick.

What a difference almost 3 years and a camera makes. 

Here's the long wall to the right of that window. You can't tell but there was no ceiling in this apartment!! That we didn't fix ourselves, that our landlord did. lol 

Here's the long wall now. It's funny cos we first painted the living room blue and after 6 months I hated it and than painted it a new color that seriously resembles the original color. 

When we saw the apartment, I was in love with the fireplace. It's non working but I was just souped I had a fireplace to decorate for holidays. And NOW you can see our no ceiling! That thing leaning on the fireplace were the broken blinds we had to take off to replace. 

We kept the fireplace white but took those wall shelves off on the left and just made it a look "mail center" nook. I'm really going to miss having our fake fireplace. 

This is the first wall you see when you walk into our apartment. 

A new Yankee Candle is placed on the table every month [this month is Pink Sands. So Good!!], along with our photo booth pictures from the wedding and our wedding guestbook along with other books. 

This is our picture rack placed above our TV. I bought those 2 dog paintings at HomeGoods but everyone that comes thinks I paid someone to paint them of our dogs. lol You got got!!

This is our bookshelf next to the TV. I believe it's coming with us to my moms for some extra storage but instead it's gonna be flipped horizontally. 

This is our little "reading" corner. I LOVE that mirror. And we love that chair.

Our newest additions to the living room I added not too long ago. The rug and the white coffee table, which was such a great punch to the room. And Lando laying down on the rug in the shadows. 

And I recently spoiled our living room table for the first time with flowers! Peonies! I loved them and have decided they will be a constant in our room at my moms. 

I had a little mini photo session with those flowers. Hmm, would you buy THIS print from my shop??
