The night my dreams came true...

I pretty much almost fainted when Jose and I were randomly walking through HomeGoods [a store we haven't been to in over a year! We haven't had a home to fill with goods :( ]. There it was. All alone and gorgeous, like it was planted there for me.

A beautiful white pouf. In the exact color I've wanted it in for years. At only $128 dollars! WHAT!? I threw it in my cart and literally started jumping up and down. If you know me - you know the little things in life make me happy and I was ecstatic over this pouf!

Jose is trying to get me to put it in our storage facility until we get our house in a few months. But hell no. I waited this long for a pouf, I'm not going to tuck it away now!

Just a few images I've pinned through the years with a pouf in them... dreaming one day!

They might seem like a "trendy" piece to some people but this baby is mine forever and ever and right now, I'm a happy camper :)

At the Ballet!

This weekend... I'm crossing off a BIG to-do from my bucket list, New York City must-do list and things to do with Jose list. Yeah, lots of lists but it's so true! We are about to share a dreamy day in the city at Christmastime [my favorite time in Manhattan!] and all while one of my biggest dreams is coming true...

We are seeing the Nutcracker at the New York City Ballet!!

For as long as I can remember, I have loved the Nutcracker. My mom and aunt brought me to a performance of it in a local theatre when I was maybe 5 or 6 and since than I have been in love with it. I listen to the music all year long but even MORE at Christmas and have always dreamed of seeing a professional performance! What is more professional than The New York City Ballet?? At the gorgeous Lincoln Center [which I visited earlier in the summer to see the Philharmonic!] No matter what - when you visit NYC, put a visit to the Lincoln Center on your list of must-dos! And see a performance! I'm all about the Arts so I love it there :)

me in front of the opera house earlier this summer :)

Not only that - but just enjoying New York at Christmas time is the greatest. I'll be making a few trips to NYC in December and in all different parts of the city too! This weekend I'll be checking out Uptown Manhattan at Christmas :)

I'll be sharing more of our day next week! [but follow me on Instagram for LOTS of pics the day of!] WHOO!!

Have a fabulous weekend!! :)

Be Thankful!

I think it's safe to say after so many posts saying the same thing this year that I'm SO thankful for a lot of things. This statement rings very true this year!

I'm SO thankful for everything we have! Our crazy supportive friends and family, our growing business and the opportunities that have come with it, our pets for being here keeping us sane and happy every day, my husband for being the best husband and friends in so many ways... I'm SO thankful for my blog! This year has been rough for my poor blog, I've put her on the backburner a bit but I'm glad I pull through and still get comments on it! There seem to be a LOT of exciting things happening for my baby [this blog] this year and next year so stay tuned!! It's going to be hard to balance my actual job, our photography business AND this blog but I'm up for the challenge for as long as I can!

And to everyone who reads and comments on this blog I am THANKFUL FOR YOU!! Thank you for letting me know you're interested :) I may not be a big blog but I appreciate any and all love I get!!

HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING!! :D

The future is bright!

We are only two weeks into the new year and amazing opportunities have popped up in my life. I might have a photography job to attend to a couple times a month [waiting to confirm this than I'll REALLY get excited], and have been asked to help shoot a wedding in February! It'll be no fee which is fine because I've never shot a wedding and need practice... but I'm so nervous. I'm nervous, I'm scared... and then I reminded myself that its okay to be nervous and scared. All these opportunities are one step closer to doing what I love. I TRULY love. And I need to take these chances to learn from the experience. I am so excited for what the rest of this year holds! My family and friends are so encouraging and that makes it even better. If I fail, I fail. But you can't say I didn't try :)

Gimme Dollar, Gimme Dollar!

I love my some Michaels. It's a dangerous store though. I can drop hundreds of dollars in that store. So when I brought Jose's mom there the other day I was nervous. Well I spent some dollars all right... like 20! From the dollar section.
Michaels' dollar section is off the hook. The shit you find there is insane. I've found so much. I might have to do a seperate post about all the other shit I've gotten but for now I'm showing my favorite things I bought the other day.
Like this small morroccan dish... $1!
Perfectly holds my ring in the bathroom when I shower, wash my face, yada yada yada..
And then I bought cute plates and coasters. Each a dollar!

Perfectly matching on my dining room shelves the new pops of color I'm trying to bring into the house for spring and summer. We had alot of warm colors in the winter, time to stock up on greens and blues.

Free Monos!

Yes ANOTHER wedding post. Geez Ima try to stop this shit I SWEAR but this I was excited about. My mom texted me last night to read my email so I checked it this morning and found she made us some monograms with our names. I was like Oooooh! The first one is the one we will probably use on the programs/menus/ whatever else... but the LAST ONE is the one I was fighting for!!

Is the DISNEY MONOGRAM not AMAZING!!?? I was like AHHH!! I showed Jose and he was like "Cute! But we aren't having a DISNEY wedding!" [which by the way you have no idea how long I was PUSHING to get married at Disneyworld!! or even HONEYMOON! But nooooo!]

So yay! Free monograms... hopefully the wedding talk will stop here for a couple days!

I'm sooooo thankful for...

I just want to take this time to think about the things I am REALLY thankful for this year. Like my dogs :) who we brought to the vet today and are both perfectly healthy and in the best shape of their lives! And who I literally can not live without

Or my brandy new camera. Seriously. You really have no idea how much I love this thing do you? Here is my like 16 hours after me owning it :)
And my little man Hitchcock, who is suddenly a BLAST to take pictures of with my camera! Now I can catch this quick little bastard and every move he makes! And if it wasn't for Hitch, I don't know how I'd wake up for work without him being my second alarm clock!
For my man. Making every single day easier and easier to live. He is the shit. I love him
And to all of my family whom I love... but especially my mother, my best friend. Who, without her, we would seriously not be getting married. I love this woman and respect her more than I think she knows!
lol! This picture is from July 2005 when my sister, my mom and I took a vacation to San Francisco. And we go to Pier 39 to see all the sea lions and than we find out they migrate south in the summer and we only saw 2 fucking sea lions!!! We were pissed at them so here's my mom giving the sea lions the finger!
[and my mama's in the scooter because she has MS in her one leg but she's the shit! obviously that dont stop her from traveling!]

Hope everyone has a fabulous and full Happy Thanksgiving!!! :) I'm thankful for my blog friends too!! I love you guys!! :)

Happy New Month!!

In my Senior year of High School I had classes all year around with the same teacher no matter what [since we had block scheduling that's crazy!] And she became to be my favorite teacher EVER - which is weird because in 7th grade I had her and HATED her!

But we had this little thing when everytime it was a brand new month we would say to eachother in class "Happy New Month!" No one ever celebrated the beginning of a new month - only a new year!

Well I am celebrating this new month November! It's my favorite month actually :) And for good reason too! But one is it's finally time for Thanksgiving and I love Thanksgiving!! I take off of work Thanksgiving [because I work in retail and we ARE open on holidays!] and literally spend the whole day with my family!

Now that I moved out things are different... but I get up at 8 and head over to my mom's house to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade with her, my younger sister and my grandparents [Jose usually works in the morning so he misses this]. We have been watching the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade for as long as I can remember and I love it :) We sit in the living room and watch it while my grandpa makes biscuits... ooh starts the day off juuust riight :)

Than for Thanksgiving Dinner Jose and I head over to my older sister's house where my mom and younger sister meet us at 2 or so and we eat dinner and have dessert than every year do a Christmas Craft! We look forward to this allll yeaarr... seriously. All year. We decorated sleds and wreaths and painted nutcrackers and made ornaments! Oh my god sooo much! Can't wait to do this year!!

But the real reason why November is my favorite is it's my Birthday!! Yes this year I will be turning the Big 2-4. This is a Birthday I have been looking forward to. I always thought when I was little you were really an ADULT when you turned 24. And 24 is another one of my lucky numbers [other than my birthday] so WHOO!

2 years ago Jose gave me the ultimate Birthday present! He suprised me with us taking the SEX AND THE CITY tour around New York City! It was the BEST! and our bus was PACKED! This was before the movie came out [but they were filming it] and it was good to know there are still die hards out there like me :)

Here we are sitting on Carrie's Stoop!!

It was the best present ever - maybe second best. I don't know which one was better. When he brought me on the sex and the city tour or when he got me front row orchestra seats to the Phantom of the Opera [my favorite broadway show EVER].

Yup I am spoiled. Jose is a boyfriend that likes to make my dreams come true. Seriously... I can do a whole post about all the things I've dreamed of doing [or having] than I mention and than he just DOES it! Maybe I will! lol

So YAY to November!!

I took this picture outside our house the other day - a nice reminder of the beautiful season we are still in :)
Oh and I forgot to mention

I turn 24 on the 13th... Ooooohhh!! Spoooky!! My birthday's a friday the 13th this year! Whoo! Those are my favorite!
