Pop of Color: Neon Belts!

It's officially been March for a week now and I am absolutely loving it. Spring just around the corner and I'm so ready for it to be Spring again! I love to embrace color year around but I feel like you can get away with it more during this time of year than any other. If you're afraid to be too bold with color, here's a simple solution: a bright belt! Easy and oh so fun!

Gap is on point with these adorable bright neon belts for under $30! A steal! My problem is I LOVE color so much - I don't know which to choose to buy! Yellow is my absolute favorite - but this year I am seriously loving pink and green! And orange is so fresh for summer! Ahh!

Help a girl decide... which color belt would YOU buy?

When in New York City, One must...

1. Do some shopping

promptly bought those shoes and these sunnies from urban outfitters...

2. carry a light weight bag
[my moms vintage cross body]

3. Window shop and admire the expensive shit you can't buy

4. have a gray's papaya hot dog. seriously.. the best

5. take in your surroundings. there really isn't any city like new york.

 6. look up every once in a while. it's pretty amazing up there

7. stock up on some new hats!
Jose went NUTS when he spotted a new era store [not a LIDS!] and went crazy and bought 3 hats lol

Monday, Monday... So Good to Me!

Yesterday was my day off and it was lovely. Spent with lots of retail therapy. LOTS of it. I was supposed to go shopping with my girlfriend but she bailed on me last minute... so Jose brought me instead. What a fabulous husband, I swear!

And I realized I have this strange love for stripes lately. I bought 3 striped shirts yesterday!

Than we randomly decided to go to the movies and see X-MEN FIRST CLASS and it was awesome! I love ALL the X-Men movies so this one can be added to that list.

Who knew Magneto and Professor X were some hotties when they were younger? Especially Magneto!

It was awesome cos there were LOTS of X-men references of what was to come with the first 3 films. I really did love it. All in all, the perfect Monday. And you don't get too many of those!

In other news... there will be LOTS of changes coming soon for me. In my life and on the blog soon! Whoo! The blog you shall see soon enough :) and the changes in my life I'll explain once they are really in motion. But hope you'll stick around to see them ;)

Thats me in the leather jacket and tight jeans...

Just letting you know...
I bought the sickest leather jacket yesterday for 42 dollars [courtesy of it being on sale and a really nice lady handing me a coupon RIGHT when I was paying for it. sweet]

Seriously, I'm in love. I didn't want to take it off when I got home. Dying for it to get chilly in Jersey so I can wear it. Ohhh and get your asses to CVS [no walgreens or rite aid!] and pick up the REVLON nail polish color combo Rock & Star. Rock [purple] and Star [glitter top coat] is sick. Especially together.

Very happy my cuticles don't look half bad considering I rip them apart. Since I quit biting my nails 2 years ago, I've taken up a new habit... biting my cuticles. Yuck.
Oh and now Jose is dying for a leather jacket of his own. Always biting off my style I swear. But we gonna rock the leather jackets down the street together like a bunch of idiots cos thats how we do!

Bath Time!

I am back from vacation!! Kinda upset... I totally loved staying away [but reaally missed my dogs and cat] and wish we coulda stayed longer!!! Ugggh! I got soooo burned, like I swear it was second degree burn from the sun. YIIIKES!! Anyway every couple posts I'll recap our long weekend but HAD to talk about my favorite little store we went to.

We stayed in Wildwood, NJ & visited Cape May. It's the cutest town full of victorian houses, bread and breakfasts and adorable little shops. Here's my little street view picture I took:
Cute ain't it? Awww I love Cape May. I discovered a new store there called Bath Time! It's the cutest store full of SOAPS and body lotions, sponges, all these adorable beauty products! But mostly soap. I mean walls and walls of soap.

Tons and tons of delicious smelling soaps! These soaps below were a $1.25 each!! Steal!!

I bought 4 soaps! One smells EXACTLY like pineapple but besides smelling great, they are fabulous soaps that don't dry out your hands! Like I said they carry a ton of beauty products as well, like lotions and bubble baths.

Check em out on-line. The site alone is adorable. I plan to visit the store every time I'm down there :)

Who Know's Where the Time Goes?

Oops... I've been busy and have not written in a while but I do have a bunch to share - including my tiny sprouts of fall decor in my house as well as some lovely additions to my fancy schmancy new office!

And seriously... Who Know's Where the Time Goes?? I mean I blink and it is suddenly 50 degrees every night the past couple days! It is seriously feeling like fall here in Jersey. But I love it since it's my favorite season! Anywhoo... A Bit of Fall Decor to make you all warm and tingly inside :)

My fall flowers on my table along with my fall runner my mom got me courtesy of Berwick Offray Ribbon Company :)

As well as these lovely "hat boxes" and ribbon - both courtesy of Berwick Offray Ribbon Company :)

And these adorable little pumpkin container which I have seen in at least 4 different stores this year - but I snagged mine at CVS because I get my employee discount!

And here is what is going on in my office... a very tiny bright little green picture frame [I'm waiting for the perfect picture of my cat and dog together to fill it]

And the frame next to the green and white lamp. Frame... 4.99 from Home Goods! Yuuup!

As well as 10.99 each Nautica pillows from Home Goods. Home Goods is the best!

That's pretty much it! It certainly gave me a warm and tingly feeling all over again!

Basket Case

After work today I decided to do something I rarely do... go visit the neighborhood K-Mart. [eeeeeww]

I thought hmm, maybe they will have SOMETHING cute. Turns out they had 4 things cute. One was a chew toy for Riddle [which I could not get a picture of because since he is teething, he tore it up quick!], the second was a fabulous blue collar for Riddle which really brings out the blue in his eyes [seriously, he's got blue eyes] and 2 were these adorable baskets!!

I was really looking for one to hold Jose's clothes in the office [cos god forbid he walks upstairs and puts it in the closet] but now you can barely see his clothes and I really like it :)

And yes this is a tiny little sample of whats hiding in the office as we speak...

The other was a magazine holder so I stuck my magazines in there. But didn't take a picture of that :( It's okay, some other time!

MAC Makeup Art... Yum!

I am a sucker for all things MAC. So when my best friend Esther told me her friend Lisa [who works for MAC] invited her to an event they were holding I was like "Yup! I'm there!" The event was showing off the upcoming fall collections and you could buy anything you wanted. The upcoming fall collections are the MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection as seen by Richard Phillips, Maira Kalman, and Marilyn Minter.

We walked up to the MAC store to find a line going outside of the store! The event was PACKED! We have been to MAC events before but this was insane! They were passing out yummy hors devours and red wine, white wine and sparkling water. It was crazy. We were waiting outside for about a half hour before we actually got inside and looked at the collections. Needless to say, all of them were gorgeous but the one collection that called to me was Maira Kalman (illustrator) for MAC. Her collection POPPED! and I am all about the popping.
So I bought some pieces... couldn't go nuts cos I couldn't even be buying these pieces! These eyeshadows and eye liners were gorgeous, I couldn't say no.

I have all ready worn all of them and am in love :) and am going back for Haunting! To get an extensive look at this collection and the other fall collections, head over to
Temptalia which is seriously the best site out there for beauty! Especially MAC :)
