We are hosting a holiday party this year and though it's more of a dessert party - it still has me itching to dress up. I almost wanted to make it mandatory for everyone to come dressed up but decided to chill. But since I'm playing hostess I miiiight just splurge and buy myself a fancy holiday dress :) I immediately gravitate to ModCloth for their holiday dresses because they UNDERSTAND the curvy girl. I'll be making a splurge big time on this cape because I just love it that much. I can see myself walking thru new york city with Jose at Christmas time wearing this cape. Yes, like that.

Lauren Conrad Kohls Winter Collection!

I have always loved Lauren Conrad since Laguna Beach and than when she made the move to "The Hills", she seriously became one of my biggest influences in fashion. Since she launched her line at Kohls, I've continuously shopped it with a love for its girly and feminine pieces and how they really do flatter anyone. Now she has released the Winter 2012 collection with Kohls and... oh my god. I am in love. LOVE. The first picture and last two pictures are my absolute favorites. The sweaters look so warm, the sequins so PERFECT! I NEED that sequin dress!

Since we are planning to move out of Jersey, entertaining will become that much more special because it won't happen too often. Currently Craving: Poolside Essentials

Holy crap it's June!! Do you realize in 6 months we will be celebrating Christmas?? That's just NUTS!! I'm not rushing it though. I seriously need the summer to be here. May was a CRAZY busy month for us, as far as our photography business goes. We did a TON of stuff towards the business [which i'll of course share once it's all up and running for real!] and as of right now - June is looking really good. We won't be going too crazy this month so I need some relaxation!! Nothing is more relaxing than just laying out by the pool... and occasionally jumping in for a dip :) I don't have a pool... but I'm jumping at the first chance I get to be by one. And there are just some things that scream "bring me to the pool!"

I have the sandals [in pink too!] and they are my all ready my go to shoes for the summer. I might have to go buy me the black & white pairs :) And seriously - is there anything better in the world than a cover up?? They might be my favorite thing about being out by the pool!

ASOS watches!

Yay!! It's FRIDAY!! I'm ending this last week of february [holy crap!] with a few fun finds I found at ASOS recently - watches! They carry name brand watches but I'm kind of in LOVE with the ASOS watches themselves. There are a ton but I'm loving the three below for spring. The yellow [even though they call it green on their site it looks yellow to me!], the leopard and pink are all so fun [and CHEAP!!! $40!! and on sale!!] So RUN and pick up one of these watches! :D

Today begins a 3 day weekend for me [that is rare in retail!] so I am blogging early to enjoy the rest of my day! Crossing my fingers I manage to get some Christmas shopping done since the only one who has given me ideas of what they want is my mom and she is practically done! And my mother in law is here from Puerto Rico! So we'll be spending time with her.

Craving - Winter Coats!

Yikes... daylight savings. Night time comes too early now (what?? dark at 4:30pm??) and it gets colder a lot earlier in the day. Every year I find myself looking for a new coat and this year is no different! I'm not into jackets or parkas but more a big, warm, wooly coat! I get very cold, very quickly so I need something serious. And everyone has something to offer right now. Especially in bright pops of color which is exactly what is up my alley :)

During the fall and winter, I love to buy a ton of boots to stock up on. I think I have more boots than anything else in my closet, even flip flops and i LIVE in those in the summer. I prefer boots with no heel, making it a lot easier to walk in on most days... but lately heels with just the right amount of heel have been very appealing. Especially number two.

West Elm Halloween

Not gonna lie... Today I am dragging Jose with me to our storage facility to decorate my moms house for Halloween [where we currently are living to save up and buy a house]. Since my mom gave my sister and I the thumbs up to hold a Halloween Party this year, I'm kind of in a rush to get it up and running and especially to get it done before going to Chicago. 

And right now, West Elm has the only cute shit for Halloween. I want it all [and there isn't much!] I think my favorite item is the day of the dead looking skull candle-abra.

"it's a leopard phase"

The other day as Jose and I perused the goodies at J Crew and I held my new iPhone leopard case in my hand, Jose mentioned how he noticed I had a lot of leopard. But then insisted "it's just a phase!" Uhm... no. In fact, week by week this little leopard love affair grows more and more. Here's just a SMALL taste...

With the east coast hurricane hitting us this weekend [and me working entirely through it], this weekend is not looking good for me. Doesn't look like I'll be doing much. So with today my day off I am out to do a little shopping and feed me fix. What's on my radar lately? New blazers. The other day my sister asked if she could borrow one but all I had was black, grey and tweed blazers. So I'm on the hunt for fun new fresh ones. And that mustard one from Zara's is calling my name.

There are always several things I keep in my "one day I'll have that' folder. Most of the things are attainable. Especially the glitter TOMS in 2 BRAND NEW spanking colors. I need them all. 

Turns out I have a bunion and need new shoes for work. TOMS might do the trick! And the rose gold watch is the perfect new accessory to have ready for the fall. Yeah I said it... fall. Get ready, it's coming. 

Jonathan Adler on HSN? I'd. Die.

Those were my exact words when I turned the channel on.

The other night I was flipping through the tv when I passed by HSN and saw "Happy Chic by Jonathan Adler". Oh. my. god. Like... Jonathan Adler is my shit. I love him, he inspires me and when I saw I could have Jonathan Adler in my home for like HALF the price I could have before... I lost it. This has been with HSN for a while now but I haven't noticed til the other day so just ssh! Anyway.. I cant get certain pieces out of my mind. I want!! I want!!

These IKAT pillows were calling me. I have like no red in my apartment but I'd buy em for the day I do lol

The bedding is my absolute. It's EXACTLY what I've been looking for for MONTHS! I am obsessed with it [and the rug underneath]

And the classic Jonathan Adler white ceramic... but fruity wine stoppers!

I'm just dreaming of after the wedding when I will actually buy one of these things. Or I might lose it and cave sooner. We'll see. I don't know how strong I am!

Movie Night!

My family and I have been watching the Oscars for as long as I could remember. My sister tapes it [yes! on vhs!] every single year cos she's kinda obsessed with all things movies. We all are really. Anytime any of us are together - talk ALWAYS goes to movies. And it stays there for a good hour or so. lol [I'm talking all movies people! I mean Dodgeball is probably brought up EVERY SINGLE TIME!]

One year I hope to be able to hold Oscar Night. But in the meantime... every week or so my mom, sister, Jose & I try to host movie night. Next time it's Jose or mine's pick.. I'm gonna go all out! And am feeling inspired by Potterybarn's little guide for how to throw a successful movie night.

 Cos no movie night is complete without popcorn! [especially when it involves Jose who is kinda obsessed with popcorn.]

Cos you KNOW I love any excuse to throw a party!

In fact - I won a free 90 minute spa party for me and my family at a bridal show I went to recently and my brain is RACKING with ideas! lol But I still got three weeks for that one :D

Can I get a HOO HOO!

Yess!! It's FRIDAY!!! I only work 6 hours today!! And I have the entire weekend off! AND so does Jose!! However - we are BROKE so we won't be doing much! :( God we suck! lol I'm still souped to be able to chill with him all weekend [except Sunday when my girls are coming over and my main girl is coming to do my hair up for a wedding trial. sweet!]

Lately I've been crazy into owls. I don't know why. I find myself wanting to buy anything with an owl on it. ANYTHING. So I put together some of my favorites - not just for you but for me to remember so I dont lose track!

Tell me how I went to buy that little Owl Bank from Urban Outfitters in white and they cancelled my order. Boo! I knew I shoulda stuck with the turquoise.. way cuter! Meanwhile, guess what!? MORE SNOW TODAY!! It wasn't as bad so I don't really mind it but still! I'm counting down the days til spring! [And 98 days til I'm hitched! We in double digits now bitch!!]
