The new kid in town!

If you follow me on Instagram, you've heard my news! If you don't... well let me introduce you to the newest member of our family :)

This is a game changer, folks. This gave me 50X more confidence to go out there and take some photos! In fact, I have a client meeting today that is going to be a very exciting venture for me!! But more on that later...

Just look at it next to my old camera. It just LOOKS more professional. 

A camera doesn't do all the magic. I still need to upgrade and invest in lens, flashes and other goodies [yes all goodies!] but this alone excites me. This camera is so nice and crisp alone, compared to my baby DSLR [who i'll miss, not gonna lie!] I'm still getting the hang of it cos it is VERY different from mine but my initial reaction when I got it home and out? 

We call that Tina's "cheesy smile". I've had that smile since I was little, when I'd get really excited about something. Looks like I never lose my excitement :) I'll show off this camera and what it can do real soon! In the meantime...

Neutrals & Purple

The weather around here has been unseasonably warm. And I'm taking full advantage of it, especially when it's warm AND I'm off from work. I ran outside and... took another outfit post! I love wearing neutrals with a pop of color. I never shy away from any type of color especially purple, which has rapidly become one of my favorite colors. It's my moms signature color and I might just have to borrow it :)

Jason Wu for Target!

Jason Wu is coming to Target stores February 5th and at first I wasn't too excited about this collaboration but after seeing the first glimpses of the collection, I am souped! Such cute pieces. And I think I heard EVERYTHING is under $60? Way cuter than the Missoni clothes if you ask me! [though I was really into the Missoni home goods and was sad I didn't snatch any of those] 

I LOVE the yellow and black dress! And the cat tote? So cute! 

Anybody trekking out to Target February 5th to check out his collection?? 

High VS Low: Bags

I saw a serious similarity between all three of these bags. They all kind of look like the Cambridge Satchel [which is the $134.00 bag] but one at a pretty damn good price [the middle, from Hallelu] and the last one is a different take on the look but cute as well [the last, from Old Navy]. I'd go with the Cambridge satchel for sure, which also comes in a slew on colors! The Hallelu is a bargain bag with a similar look. The Old Navy is a bargain steal and seems smaller so might be the perfect little messenger bag!

A look into my Office!

FINALLY our office is ready and clean and I am able to show it to you! I only showed half of it before and now I'm showing the other. I should say my biggest inspiration for this office was Alaina from Live Creating Yourself. It's pretty obvious but I've really made it my own... and still plan on making some more changes while we are here. For now, this is my our office!

Gasp! An Outfit post!

I know what you're thinking... an outfit post?? Am I on the right blog?? But I had to. I loved my simple little date night outfit with my new bag, shoes and necklace all in one I had to snap a picture. And don't mind my un-matching headband and my laid back ponytail. I was off of work and hungry, okay? 

There are reasons why this is taken indoors. It was late and dark out all ready... but the number one is it was fuh-reezing! And I don't think you want to see me all bundled up? So here I am in my office with my handy new tripod and camera remote doing the work for me.

Whiskey Girl

I am now newly into Champagne! After New Years, I can't get it off of my mind. When I leave work, I'm tempted to buy a bottle and come home and start whipping up champagne cocktails. But since I'm still a champagne newbie, I'll be sticking with my usual. I've been drinking Whiskey Sour's for as long as I can remember. I have it every time I'm out at a bar or dancing and it never fails me. It doesn't get me crazy drunk, just nicely buzzed, and it doesn't make me sick. This drink is my best friend. So in the mean time, I think I want to attempt to make me a whiskey sour at home!

2012 Resolution: Better Skincare!

Another one of my resolutions and goals is to take better care of my skin and use better products. With winter, my skin acts up like crazy like most people. My lips get insanely dry, my elbows and knees ashy. My hands? Terrible! And my skin this year has been even worse this year and it's not even that cold yet! I've been stocking up on some new beauty products as well as restocking on some old favorites.

I don't buy anything without consulting my sister in law, who is an esthetician. In fact, she has a beauty blog! Follow her here... it's still in the beginning stages but listen to her! She knows her stuff. She has recommended and told me about most the products I use now! [like she introduced me to kiehls, sarah happ lip scrubs and BLISS products... and a lot more!]

2012 resolution: cute gifting!

I have multiple resolutions and goals this year and one of them is to pay more attention to the details and put more effort into my gift giving, as well as being organized about it. I don't know why but I feel like this is something that makes me feel better when I do it. When I pick out a cute gift bag and gift it to someone, I feel good knowing I gave them cute packaging! Happy New Year!!! Hope everyone had an awesome New Years Eve!! Ours was great! We spent it with Jose's family but my mom joined us which was even better! Lots of laughs, drinking champagne all night [yup... I totally drank the whole bottle we brought] and lots of shots! I decided last minute to wear sequins even though we were all laid back because why not go in sparkly!? It was a great way to start off the year!
