Holiday Traditions!

Aren't you all about Holiday Traditions?? I am! It means there is always something you will look forward to year after year. Jacin of Lovely Little Details has been featuring bloggers talking about their favorite Holiday Traditions and I shared mine! Click here and check it out, as well as all the other bloggers! I'll give you a hint what mine has to do with...

And if you don't follow Jacin, you should! I've been following her for so long and her blog has become such a great blog full of beautiful inspirational photos [and plenty of ideas for keeping them Mason Jars around!] Thank you Jacin for featuring me!!

And what are some of YOUR favorite Holiday Traditions?? I'd love to hear!

Gift Guide for... Cats!!

I love our two dogs with all my heart but there really is a special place in my heart for our cat, Hitchcock.

He  is our first pet together, my first male cat [I've had 3 other cats, all girls] and this cat holds the key to my heart. I love this cat unconditionally. And he loves me back just as much. I can't imagine life without this cat and I like to spoil him rotten. As all bloggers put up Christmas gift guides this year, I've realized I haven't seen ONE GIFT GUIDE for cats! Or cat lovers! And in case any of you cat lovers out there haven't noticed, there is a TON of cute cat stuff around! So... my own Cat Lovers Gift Guide!

And for the cat lovers...

Do any of you have a cat to gift this Holiday??
Only 5 more days left til Christmas!!

Welcome to the Jungle!

Saturday night we went into Manhattan to celebrate my girl Alex's 25th birthday redo. Yup, fuck getting older! It was at a bar called Angels & Kings and I don't know about everyone else but I had a damn good time!! Paid $16 for 4 drinks [that does NOT happen in NYC], dancing to Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi AND Notorious BIG in the same night and doing it all with the dopest friends you have... sounds like the perfect night out to me!

Alex, the birthday girl, and me!!

it took about 10 different pictures before we actually got a good one... apparently my husband is a socially awkward photographer??

the hubs and SIL... plaid thugs for life!

Dazzlesphere Stocking Stuffers

Looking for any last minute stocking stuffers for the girl who loves Beauty? [or just wouldn't mind some fun beauty products in their stocking] MAC can do no wrong in my eyes. They are the creme de la creme when it comes to makeup and these Dazzlesphere's are a genius idea for stocking stuffers! Or hang them on your tree as a little suprise for your BFF! Ranging from $25 to $36 they cover all the beauty basics. Lip. nail & eye pigments. Way to spoil a girl!

Throwing a Holiday Party!

This was my first Holiday "party" and I was very happy with the end result. I can't just have people over to decorate gingerbread houses. I HAVE to do it up! I'm one of those crazy people that lives for entertaining [the stress that comes with it, no so much]. But this party did not have me stressed in the slightest. With a ton of help from Jose, everything was set and ready to go before they came thru. So what makes a Gingerbread House-Making Party successful?

alcohol!!

and why be bothered with your guests asking you whats what? tell em all ready... though this one's a give in

We need a little Christmas now!

I'm Back!! After being busy at home & working long nights at work til midnight, I wasn't up for much blogging these past couple days. And truthfully, didn't have much to talk about. But now I'm feeling inspired once again. And with Christmas here in practically a week I'm excited!! All our shopping is done and it's time to just enjoy the season.

Yesterday we had our Gingerbread House Making Party! It was a lot more fun than I thought it'd be! Everyone got really into it and who knows! Maybe this will become a new tradition.

Nestor's focused as hell! Wendy has time to pose :)

thats quite a spread

ooh yes that icing was good

Wendy & Esther looking all festive!

Luis built most of their house alone with Esther chatted with my mom. Hence "solo"

She even decorated her gingerbread man!

Love me some Flats

As much as I love heels, I'm also crazy about flats. (I wore them to my wedding so I couldn't be taller than Jose!) They are what I wear to work! And sometimes comfort wins over cuteness. But these flats are pretty damn cute and I don't think we ladies are sacrificing anything when wearing these!

NYC winter outfit

The next couple Saturday's we will be going into Manhattan for some festive activities (one is seeing the Radio City Christmas show! Another is our friends birthday). New York City in the winter screams for the perfect outfit. Lots of walking, cold and brisk weather and you have to look perfect for pictures! This is what I'll be trying to wear (because I don't do good in the cold... so I'm not sure a faux fur vest is enough to keep me warm)

NYC winter outfit

Rag bone cable knit sweater
$325 - net-a-porter.com

J Mendel fur vest
£1,749 - farfetch.com

Black flat boots
romwe.com

Miss Sixty hat
$62 - misssixty.com

Old Navy Women's Convertible Mittens
$13 - oldnavy.gap.com

And I scored the PERFECT white faux fur vest for only $15!! A way better steal than the J Mendel vest.
