I got me a new closet!

The Before...

 mixed matched shelving, heels not being able to fit in the cubbies, brown brackets...

And two racks of clothes feeling TIGHT

 Sleek and long shelving going to the end of the closet...

 Enough room for heels and boots to sit comfortably

 And the clothes rail hanging in the OPPOSITE direction. So I see it all right when I walk in

 This is all the clothes pretty close together. Can't even tell you how much room there is for a TON of more clothes! [color coordinated too... damn I own way too much black]



And you can see in the photo above to the right of my closet is a small railing to hold even more clothes [I need more hangers!] and now I'm using my OLD shoe storage to hold all my pants. It took us ALL day Saturday and I absolutely love it. And it was all for about $160 dollars between IKEA and Home Depot.

What i didn't show? how many shoes I got rid of! I took out at least 6 pairs! I gave a couple to my niece who is the same size as me and the rest I'm donating. It feels good to not just throw them out. :) Next up - going through the clothes!

Movie Night!

My family and I have been watching the Oscars for as long as I could remember. My sister tapes it [yes! on vhs!] every single year cos she's kinda obsessed with all things movies. We all are really. Anytime any of us are together - talk ALWAYS goes to movies. And it stays there for a good hour or so. lol [I'm talking all movies people! I mean Dodgeball is probably brought up EVERY SINGLE TIME!]

One year I hope to be able to hold Oscar Night. But in the meantime... every week or so my mom, sister, Jose & I try to host movie night. Next time it's Jose or mine's pick.. I'm gonna go all out! And am feeling inspired by Potterybarn's little guide for how to throw a successful movie night.

 Cos no movie night is complete without popcorn! [especially when it involves Jose who is kinda obsessed with popcorn.]

Cos you KNOW I love any excuse to throw a party!

In fact - I won a free 90 minute spa party for me and my family at a bridal show I went to recently and my brain is RACKING with ideas! lol But I still got three weeks for that one :D

Bring It!

I've been absent from my blog for the past couple days because since Monday... I've been torturing myself. Yes ladies, I am full on doing one hour workouts a day. Oh no but not just any workouts. I have to bring it.

Ever hear of it?

If not.. if you're looking to lose weight, get on it! It's an entire program about watching what you eat but MOSTLY its making sure you get six full days of working out in a 90 day period. And they guarentee results. Our wedding falls smack in the middle around the 60 day period so... after being away for a week in our honeymoon... 60 days will have to do!

Jose & I have been on it since Monday... and um, I think its working lol Why?? Oh cos I've lost 4 lbs SINCE monday! What the FUCK is that?? I have been "dieting", watching what I eat and doing these workouts. And let me tell you... the same body parts have been sore since Monday too. Well, except my legs. My legs just joined the party this morning.

I'm feeling good! This might be the bridal bootcamp I need... so, I'm now off to work on my arms and shoulders! PEACE!



I want candy!!

A month or so ago I mentioned how I really wanted a candy bar at our wedding. Yes its played out... and yes everyone's done it... but I'm pretty positive that NONE of my guests have seen this! So I want to blow their minds. We met with our venue and they are totally hooking it up for us! We are SO having a candy bar [they are supplying ALL the containers!] and not only that but popcorn AND cotton candy! [all for freeee!!] lol Sounds good to me! So now all I gotta do is buy the candy! At first I wanted the "black white and red" candy bar to go with our theme for the wedding. But the more I look... the more the bright colored candy bars are damn cute!

Seriously!!! But no :( that's a bit much. And i don't know where the hell it would go. And we're getting married in April. I think smores... I think summer. [though I will have them right now!]

Sorry for the lack of posts. I know... I've dissapeared. But I'm pretty sure I'm back now. Instead I'll just give you a quick run down of things that have been making my days fuckin awesome.

Valentines blew. We both worked from 2 to 10. I had to get up early the next morning [very early] so there was no Valentines to celebrate. It sucked... but I'm not too upset cos we can make any day Valentines Day.

It's All Happening!

Two days ago we sent out our wedding invitations. And reading the invitations over again... it kinda sorta kicked in that I was really going to be married soon. It's all happening! But not really. lol It hasn't really hit me and I don't think it will until that day. I'm showing you the inside of the invitation because it's pretty. [And the outside is nice and black and boring so skip!] And I love seeing my full name written out in a pretty script.

 But my absolute favorite part of the invitation? The response card.

We were actually going to make it alot more vulgar... like HELL YEAH I'M ATTENDING!! or EW NO, YOU WON'T CATCH ME THERE! lol We felt it was more US! but our moms were very against it. Boo! Still... we've been getting texts saying people will REGRETFULLY ATTEND :D lol it's all in good fun I guess!

C is for Cookies!!

Jose & I are kinda obsessed with cookies. Any cookies. So when I saw this image on Style Me Pretty along with a ton of other inspirational images.. I had a thought. A thought that didn't fit in our "budget" before but I am dying to squeeze it in!

I mean... how expensive would it be to buy oreos, wrap em up in cellophane, buy some straws and milk!? Is this something you'd die for if you came to my wedding and saw it!? HELP ME OUT HERE!

I Must Be Dreaming, Wake up Jack! This Isn't Fair!

Before I even got married - I said I wanted a Nightmare Before Christmas Bridal Shower. I mean, how dope is that?? And it's soo me! It's my absolute favorite Disney movie and one of my favorite movies ever. I'm obsessed. When one of my bridesmaids asked me a month ago if there were ANY other themes I'd want... I was bummed. I could tell it wasn't gonna happen. [I said a Sex and the City theme would be awesome too! that's also me] But then I went onto Hostess with the Mostess and saw someone had A NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS BRIDAL SHOWER!

I immediately posted it on my facebook... like HELLO! I'M NOT CRAZY! This can TOTALLY be done! I still doubt I'll get the shower of my dreams lol but I'm living ricariously through this lucky bride.

Somebody Loves My New Rug...

He was rollin' around on the new rug the minute it hit the floor - for 15 minutes. Enough time for me to take plenty o pictures. What a cutie.

Just bought myself some brandy new sparkly shoes... did I mention they were actually free??

Thanks to shoedazzle and a new point system they got going... I got these shoes for free. Not even shipping was paid for. Yes bitch. I'll take it.

Ahhh... this is MY living room :)

Yesterday I showed the steal of a chair we got in the as-is section at Ikea. And I complained about ordering my new rug and waiting for it to arrive. Today, it came! And I love it! So let's look at a before of the living room...

 The room feels so much brighter with the chair and rug these much bright pieces than what we had.

I got the rug from K-mart [can you believe that??] for $82! Everything's a steal here! We've really learned to become bargain hunters lol I must say, I'm very proud of Jose & I! We weren't good when we first moved in 2 years ago at "buying cheap" but we do it and we do it good!

HOLLA!! Now I'm waiting for Jose to get home so he can tell me what he thinks [since I basically bought the rug without his looking at it] All we need is some nice springy pillows on the living room and bam! DONE!

Why you sittin in my chair!?

I'm ALIVE!! I'm still dealing with a nasty nasty cough from having the flu and yesterday was a hard day back to work [dizzy and weak ALL day long] but I made it! And finally - my computer is cooperating with me and letting me post something. Well I've been souped since Tuesday over here. Why?? Cos we are finally making progress in our living room. I ordered a brand new rug [where the FUCK is it!?] and am patiently waiting for it... and we just bought a chair we've been eyeing for a while. Since Christmas a corner of the living room has looked like this...

Yeah nice and empty. Then we go to IKEA on tuesday [in the middle of the Northeast ice storm. BEST time to go to IKEA by the way :)] and to the As-Is section, our favorite. When suddenly I saw it... the $200 chair we've been lusting over for $75 bucks! I told Jose GRAB A CART! WE'RE TAKING IT! and Voila bitch!

I fucking love it. Jose does too. Hitchcock obviously loves it. And yesterday to my suprise... Riddle jumped up on it. So Riddle loves it [but he's not allowed on cos he ruined our last piece of pleather]

All we waiting for is this dang rug and boom! We got ourselves a nice, bright, springified living room. Yes... thats the plan! Think warm thoughts, receive warm weather!!
