Glitter Nails: Summer Version

Funny how Smart & Sassy with Sprinkles has somewhat of a similiar post today. Check hers out here!

I've always done my own nails... and I've always loved glitter. So putting two and two together always made sense to me! And with the fabulous Cupcakes and Cashmere doing it as well I decided to whip out the glitter nails this week.

Using two simple colors. Milani's very rare Gems and Essie's Watermelon [one of my favorite summer nail polishes]

Et, voila!

Oh and do you KNOW how many compliments I get about these nails?? So many. Even girls from Sephora compliment! The "beauty experts"! 

Planning a Picnic for real

When I saw this grouping on Glitter Guide I was souped! Cos I actually AM planning a picnic!

In 2 weeks or so, me and my two best girlfriends are planning a night out under the stars - watching "The Kings Speech" at 9pm. But before that, we gotta eat!! And we gotta save us a good spot on the lawn for the movie. So... Picnic!! I think I've all ready picked out my outfit [yes, you need a specific outfit for an outdoor movie/picnic] so all I need is the picnic accessories! And besides Glitter Guide, I found some cute things on my own with prices I can work with a little better lol

Goodbye Apartment: Our Office & Movie Collection

This is the room I by far spend the most time in. Definately not my favorite though lol it's freezing in the winter, boiling hot in the summer and feels so far from the living room. I have big plans for our "office" at my moms :)

And I just want to throw in a little added bonus. This is a really awkward little space upstairs outside of our bedroom. The minute we saw it though, we knew exactly what we were doing with it. 

We moved in in November of 2008 and in January 2009 we bought this huge bookshelf, put it together and voila! A space for our massive movie collection!

We even needed a second one [to the right] and that holds all our TV Show dvds :) We are still undecided whether or not this will be coming to my moms. But I'm pretty sure it wont. 

The Real Royal Wedding: Up in the Bridal Suite

My photographer is apparently mad old school because I felt pretty silly taking these "bridal portraits". But whatever! Here they are

Than it was me and my mom's turn

When I was younger I used to love staring at my mom's hands and holding them. I thought her hands were beautiful and so soft. So I seriously love this picture of her hands. Silly I know but true. 

And one of my absolute favorites of the entire day...

Soon it was time to cut the crap and get down to business. I wanted to see my man! While my mom and ladies fixed my bustle, I took one big breath

Yesterday at 5 my girl Wendy texted me to say she got free tickets to the Mets game last night. Hellll Yeah!! The game started at 7, I got off of work at 6. I scammed my way out of work and we raced over to CitiField! Luckily there was a rain delay so we made it in time to watch the Mets play the Oakland A's!

It was an awesome night that included zeppole's, the wave, bottoms up beers and the Mets winning after 13 innings! Holla! Hope to attend a couple more baseball games before the season's over!

Goodbye Apartment: Our Dining Room

Our Dining room is my favorite room in the house. It's simple.

We installed a ceiling fan, painted it a dark muted gray, added curtains, furniture, shelving and voila! 

 Notice the cat on the table in the picture below? He can usually be found chilling on the table. 

These shelves hold almost all our dining pieces we got at my bridal shower. 

And our make-shift bar. 

Notice the Avion on the top shelf?? I got it bitch!!! Haven't tried it yet though... waiting for the final return of Entourage!
